Over the past few weeks we were asked to create a documentary on an era of our choice and it was totally not as easy as it seems! Our group choose the 90's era. Alexis, Jesse and I collectively decided to dress ourselves up as characters from saved by the bell. We then planned out our storyboard with much difficultly and humor. Next,we headed over to value village and bought the most 90's ugly shirts, pants and accessories. After that we went to my house and hunted down a mullet for the one and only Slater! At Alexis's house we filmed and created most of the video. Sadly, it all went to waste... so in the end it was truly a waste of time just goofing around. AT least we admit it! That week during school hours we re-filmed the footage from Alexis's house and it went rather well with quite a few bloopers! That up coming Saturday we decided to get together again, early in the morning. When Jesse and I arrived at Alexis's she was ready with coffee, shes too sweet. That day we pretty much edited and organized the whole movie.Including video clips, photos, narration, and much more. Video clips were the most difficlut part, my updated movie maker will not take to youtube videos, therefore we did it the hard way and filmed each and every video. It was totally not how we wanted to do it. Alexis's momma served lunch and it was amazing, 5 minute fried are delicious, yet Jesse uses WAY too much ketchup! With only a Little bit of goofing off, we successfully finished more than half of the video! At around 5 o'clock we all left Alexis's house and headed home because it was Halloween! Sunday pasted and both Alexis and I had to work at inconvenient times. But by Sunday night the movie was magically done! Monday morning was the best day of my life, just to see the movie play in front of my classmates was a HUGE relief! Overall I'd absolutely love to hate this project. Alexis, Jesse and I had an amazing, difficult and hilarious time doing such an awesome assignment! Although we wanted to seriously give beatings to one another, my laptop and the video itself, in the end it went extremely well!
I really enjoyed all of my classmates videos, they were informational and easy to understand. Their format differed from our own and it was nice to see different styles. This made each and every video unique. I think the method of doing year by year went extremly well even though it was alot more time consuming. Also the fads, fashion, music and etc titles worked very well. I built on my knowledge of the eras by watching all the unique and different videos. Overall I think all of the videos went extremly well, and I enjoyed all of them. It was neat to see how each era different from the next. I love how each and every video had humor included in it, enlightening the whole process. Ms. Jeppesen's Media class videos are totally the word on the street!
